A few suggestions of what to see and where to go…
A day at the spa – Roosevelt Baths and Spa
Indulge in the legendary Roosevelt Baths at Gideon Putnam Resort’s New York spa, known for its bubbling mineral springs. Regular bathing in mineral springs is considered by many to be an important factor in preventive health care. The mineral water is combined with hot fresh water to bring the water temperature to 97º Fahrenheit; this keeps the carbonation at its peak. Using the mineral springs can have physical and psychological benefits, reducing stress and strengthening the body’s overall functioning.
*A complimentary bath is available for each participating player. Additional spa and salon services may be purchased (please see enclosed spa menu for details on services and reservation information).
Address: Saratoga Spa State Park, 39 Roosevelt Drive 866.925.0622 for reservations.
Victoria Pool & Poolside Catherine’s Café at the Park
Also in Saratoga Spa State Park, the legendary Victoria Pool is open for sunning and swimming at an admission cost of $9 per person. Poolside, surrounded by historic charm, a great spot to have lunch or a frozen cocktail.
Beresford Gallery, 145 Union Ave – features sporting art and unique accessories of the country life. Owner and polo player Lizzy Beer also hosts informal receptions during the track season, 518.583.4523
Shopping on Broadway – incredible boutiques including Saratoga Saddlery, Pink Paddock - a Lilly Pulitzer via shop, Hunt Ltd., Saratoga Trunk, and much more! Also time to revisit Frank Adams Jewelers if you haven’t had time to make a purchase with their generous gift certificate.
