The Women's Championship Tournament (WCT) is a world class women's polo event that represents the largest women's polo tournament series in the world. As women in polo represent one of the largest growing sectors in the sport, the WCT FINALS represents the most prestigious tournament title in women's polo today. The tournament format includes Qualifier tournaments played across the country and abroad throughout the year, culminating in the annual WCT FINALS.

WCT QUALIFIER FORMAT
WCT QUALIFIER TOURNAMENT CONDITIONS within the United States:
1. Must be a women’s tournament sanctioned by the USPA.
2. Must meet the handicap criteria of, a minimum team handicap
of 0 goals for each team entered.
- The Handicap criteria for WCT Qualifier events will be 0-6 goals (Qualifier handicap limits can range anywhere from 0-6 goals)
- WCT outdoor Qualifiers must be scheduled to play off before the WCT Finals Dates
- WCT Qualifier tournaments played within the U.S. will be USPA sanctioned tournaments.
- WCT Qualifier Tournaments will be set at 4 chukkers to encourage more participation.
- WCT Qualifier Tournaments will be played on the American System (to allow for the ability to seed teams) or the Single Elimination System.
- In order to participate, a woman must have a current USPA handicap. Join the USPA now.
- Any woman player that is eligible to participate and plays in an Official WCT Qualifier event anywhere in the world will be eligible to participate in the Annual WCT Finals and/or the WCT Entry Level Tournament regardless of win/loss status after the Qualifier tournament.
- WCT Qualifier teams do not have to stay together for the Finals or the Entry Level Tournament.
- Player’s names and handicaps will be added to the eligible players list for the Annual WCT Finals and/or WCT Entry Level Tournament after they have participated in a WCT Qualifier.
- WCT Qualifiers having only two teams entered have the option to play a two match game with the winner being determined by the team with the most goals at the end of the second match.
- WCT Qualifier Tournaments within the U.S. will be played by USPA rules under the WCT Format.
- New Qualifiers will only be added to the WCT Schedule after the application process is completed.

WCT Qualifier Rules of conduct for polo clubs
For Clubs hosting an Official WCT Qualifier:
1. All criteria and procedures to become an Official WCT Qualifier must be met to be added the WCT Schedule and posted on the website wctpolo.com .
2. Clubs recognized as hosting an Official WCT Qualifier will make their best efforts before and after their tournament to forward by email to the WCT at info@wctpolo.com , all tournament results, pictures, itinerary and promo material for inclusion in the promotion of their event.
3. It is the responsibility of each club requesting qualifier recognition, to forward a copy of the approved USPA Sanctioned Tournament Application, with correct WCT Handicap criteria
requirement listed, to the WCT by email at info@wctpolo.com
4. Clubs recognized as hosting an Official WCT Qualifier, understand that if the WCT does not receive any materials including results, photos and promo information that they will not have the opportunity to promote their event to its fullest potential through the channels that the WCT offers.
5. If during the actual process of playing a tournament, one or all of the teams do not meet the handicap criteria in the process, that tournament will lose its WCT Qualifier status for the tournament that year, as a whole or bracket/flight in which the handicap requirements were not met.
6. If in the event a tournament loses its WCT Qualifier status for any reason, including not meeting the handicap criteria, the $100 application processing fee is non-refundable and will not be returned.
7. The processing fee paid to WCT, is for application purposes and is non-refundable once received.
8. All WCT logos are for the use by WCT Polo Inc. only. Any use of WCT logos or images requires
written permission from the WCT for use or reproduction in any form. No use or potential sale of
products containing any WCT logos is permitted without the written permission of WCT.
WCT FINALS FORMAT
- The Handicap for the 2011 WCT FINALS will be 3-6 goals.
- The Annual WCT Finals will be a USPA sanctioned tournament.
- All women players must have a current USPA handicap to participate. Join the USPA Now.
- Annual WCT Finals is to be played in the spring of each year.
- The WCT Finals will be played on the American System (to allow the ability to seed teams if necessary) or the Single Elimination System.
- In order to participate in the Annual WCT Finals, a woman must meet at least one of the following two criteria.
1. She has played in an Official WCT Qualifier Tournament anywhere in the
world (regardless of win/loss status after the event).
2. She holds a current USPA handicap of 2 goals or above (in the year of
the Finals).
- Selection of players for the WCT Finals can be made from the list of eligible players only.
- WCT Finals will be played by USPA rules under the WCT Format.
- WCT Finals having only two teams entered have the option to play a two match game with the winner being determined by the team with the most goals at the end of the second match.
- Eligible players will be responsible for forming their own complete teams to enter in the WCT Finals.
WCT ENTRY LEVEL TOURNAMENT FORMAT
*To be played in conjunction with the WCT Finals as an entry level event*
- The Handicap for the 2011 WCT Entry Level Tournament will be 0-2 goals.
- The Annual WCT Entry Level Tournament will be a USPA sanctioned tournament.
- WCT Entry Level Tournament will be played by USPA rules under the WCT Format.
- All women players must have a current USPA handicap to participate. Join the USPA Now.
- Annual WCT Entry Level Tournament to be played each spring in conjunction with the WCT Finals.
- The WCT Entry Level Tournament will be played on the American System (to allow the ability to seed teams if necessary) or the Single Elimination System.
- In order to participate in the WCT Entry Level Tournament, a woman must meet both of the following criteria:
1. She has played in a WCT Qualifier Tournament anywhere in the world (regardless of
win/ loss status after the event).
2. She holds a current USPA handicap.
- Selection of players for the WCT Entry Level Tournament can be made from the list of eligible players only.
- WCT Entry Level Tournaments having only two teams entered have the option to play a two match game with the winner being determined by the team with the most goals at the end of the second match.
- Eligible players will be responsible for forming their own complete teams to enter in the WCT Entry Level Tournament.
