Tournament Format
- There are three flights of teams in the Tournament – WCT Qualifier Flight, Invitational Flight and Exhibition flight.
- Tournament Entry Deadline for HPC Members is September 20, 2009. Non-HPC member players will be confirmed after this date, based on number of teams and open positions. Entry deadline for WCT 3-goal teams is October 7, 2009.
- Up to six teams will compete in the WCT Qualifier League. The goal ratings of the teams are 2 to 3 goals. All players in the WCT Qualifier League will be qualified to play in the 2010 Women’s Championship Tournament Finals, to be held in Wellington, Florida. WCT matches are played on ratings.
- Up to six teams will compete in the Invitational Bracket. Teams are drawn, and the players on each team will be announced on Thursday evening at the Welcome Players party. Invitational matches are played on the flat.
- A four-chukker Exhibition Match for less experienced polo players will be held on Sunday.
- Both Qualifier and Invitational matches will be 4-chukker matches.
- Entry fees are to be made payable to Houston Polo Club and should be paid by October 30. Entry fee checks may be mailed to HPC or given to any of the committee members.
- The Sunday Finals will feature tailgate polo and wine tasting under the Oak Tree. Ticket prices for tailgate polo will not differ from standard 2008 Sunday polo tickets.
