GOOSE CREEK POLO TEAM WINS 2008 USPA SILVER CUP 20 GOAL TOURNAMENT

SECOND YEAR IN A ROW

     On October 19, 2008 in Aiken South Carolina the Goose Creek Polo Team defeated Pony Express 11-10 in overtime to capture the 2008 USPA Silver Cup.  The team returned with the same winning line up as 2007; sponsor Maureen Brennan, with teammates Adam Snow (8 goals), Martin Zegers (6 goals) and Cote Zegers (5 goals).  The Silver Cup is not only one of the most prestigious polo tournaments in the United States but it is the oldest tournament dating back to 1900. 

      Goose Creek is the first team to win the Silver Cup twice; there will be a special exhibit in 2009 at the National Polo Museum and Hall of Fame honoring this milestone.
